It is a union founded upon mutual respect and affection. The paths that have brought you to this point will now be parallel, your responsibilities will increase, but they will now be shared, your joy will be multiplied if you remain sincere and earnest with one another. VOWS Officiant: (Groom), will you have this woman to be your wedded wife, to love her, comfort her, honor and keep her, and forsaking all others, keep you only unto her, for so long as you both shall live? (Bride), will you have this man to be your wedded husband, to love him, comfort him, honor and keep him, and forsaking all others, keep you only unto him, so long as you both shall live? Officiant: Take hands and repeat after me: I, (Groom states name), take you, (Bride's name), to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, to love and to cherish, from this day forward. I, (Bride states name), take you, (Groom's name), to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, to love and to cherish, from this day forward. RINGS Officiant: (Groom) do you have a ring for the bride? Please place the ring on the bride's finger and say: With this ring, I thee wed. (Bride is there a ring for the groom? Please place the ring on the groom's finger and say: With this ring I thee wed. Let these rings be given and received as a token of your affection, sincerity and fidelity to one another. PRONOUNCEMENT Officiant: (Groom) and (Bride), as the two of you come into this marriage uniting you as husband and wife, and as you this day affirm your faith and love for one another, I would ask that you always remember to cherish each other as special and unique individuals; that you respect the thoughts, ideas and suggestions of one another. Be able to forgive, do not hold grudges, and live each day that you may share it together - as from this day forward you shall be each other's home, comfort and refuge, your marriage strengthened by your love and respect. Forasmuch as (Groom) and (Bride) have consented together in wedlock and have witnessed the same before this company, and have given and pledged their vows to each other, and have declared the same by joining hands, by the authority vested in me by the State of Ohio, I now pronounce you husband and wife.
