Philosophy

Throughout this site, I have tried to emphasize my enthusiasm, experience, and the personal attention you can expect from me as the officiant of your wedding. You have entrusted your wedding ceremony to me and my role is to make sure that all the events surrounding this important part of your special day unfold just as we have planned. I truly love working with couples of all ages and those closest to them to ensure, not only that the ceremony is uniquely tailored to them, but that together we create a memorable ceremony that you will treasure for years to come.

In working with couples of all ages, faiths and ethnic backgrounds, I have learned that what they want in a wedding ceremony is as varied as the individuals, themselves. To some, a simple, traditional ceremony conveys the meaning and emotions they wish to express to one another, while others struggle with choosing the perfect words and phrases that will reflect their personal feelings and emotions. Some couples emphasize their desire for a non-religious ceremony, while some want to find ways to incorporate aspects of their individual religious or ethnic heritages into the ceremony. My point is that this is your day, not mine, and the perfect wedding ceremony is defined as one that reflects who the two of you are and what you mean to one another. My commitment to you is to assist and guide you in the search for your perfect wedding ceremony.

I have also learned that creating your perfect ceremony is often not accomplished in one initial consultation. I realize that as the day of the wedding approaches you may change your mind or come up with another idea to incorporate into the ceremony. To me, the planning of your ceremony does not stop until you are walking down the aisle. Last minute changes to your ceremony are never a problem. The primary reason I do not charge for any consultations is because I want to encourage, rather than discourage, you to contact me with any questions, ideas or changes you have at any time leading up to the day of your wedding.

Finally, choosing your wedding officiant is a personal decision and I encourage you to meet with prospective officiants before you make your final decision. The willingness of the officiant to listen to what your needs and expectations are for your ceremony is just as important as the experience they bring. It is important that you feel you can work well with the officiant in planning the ceremony and that you are comfortable and have a rapport with the person who will ultimately pronounce you husband and wife.

You have my sincere best wishes as you begin your new life together.
